Week #15 - Good things come in 3's

It's not everyday that you can pose with The Andes in the background of a picture.........

The old saying that good things always come in pairs of three was really true this week:

3 baptisms
3 goals by Messi to qualify Argentina for the world cup, 3 baptism
3 days straight of..........being sick.   Well, maybe not always just good things.

This week surely wasn't perfect, as you can tell from the last sentence, I got pretty sick this week. That's always the worst as a missionary because you aren't able to do the one thing you were sent here to do very easily: WORK. It's very boring to be sick on a mission because you don't have too much to do to pass the time either.

The highlight of the week was easily the baptismal service that we held on Saturday. It was awesome to be able to see the people we have worked with really be able to experience the blessings that come from the gospel that we share. When someone is baptized and confirmed, they become clean in the sight of God and also have the opportunity to have the holy ghost with them at all times. This is why baptism is so important to the missionaries, not because the missionaries gain something, but because being baptized gains something. Something very large, with eternal importance too.

I felt as if I had way more to say this week, but I have run out of things to say.

The one thing that I will say is that the pick up soccer here in Argentina is awesome. It sometimes isn't that great when the field is bad, but the players are always competent and play super hard. It is truly the best sport ever created. Too bad the US won't participate in the world cup.

In church all of the people keep reminding me that the US isn't in the World Cup. They think it's very funny. My companion does it too, because he's from Mexico and they made it.

My email wasn't that great this week, but my pictures were pretty cool so hopefully that will make up for it
