Week #16 - Rebuilding Phase
Not much to say about this week. All of our baptisms and confirmations are over, so we are in kind of a
"rebuilding phase" right now in this area. We are kind of back to
square one, finding the people to teach.
A cool thing that I did this week was finish the Book
of Mormon again. I had a
Book of Mormon that I have been taking really in depth notes
in for the better part of a year, and I finally finished it. For the last
couple general conferences, our general church leaders have been pleading us to
read that book, and that is because it is of great importance. It is the
world's most powerful testament of Christ, it is the way we can know that
Joseph Smith was a prophet, and it contains the fullness of the gospel of Christ.
One interesting story that happened this week was when we
got driven for 30 minutes by our mission president to our apartment. He has to
be one of the craziest drivers I have ever seen. He drives super fast and just
passes everyone. The roads are not that great here. At one point I got like 6
inches of air in my seat. It was very, very similar to the Indiana Jones ride
at Disneyland.
That is all. I love writing these letters because despite
having a slow week, I am able to at least bring to
my memory a few cool/fun/good things from the week. Most of my weeks are
awesome, but sometimes, you just have a week that is just not that exciting. And
this was one of those weeks.
No pictures this week either........... I will try to take some
more this week but after 10 weeks in an area there's not much new to send. I
know it's always better to send something, so I will try.
