Week #24 Week #25 and Week #26 - Week Before Christmas, Christmas and Happy 2018
Alright. Last week I couldn't send a letter because we used
our computer time last week talking to my family. That was pretty sweet. It was
hard to hang up for like 5 months, but you gotta do what you got to do.
A lot has changed. A new area, a new companion. That changes
pretty much everything. My area is pretty small. To put it in perspective, we
had like 8 people to show up to church this Sunday. Although it was a lot lower
than average, it was still quite crazy. There are 90 members in my whole area,
which might be the lowest in the mission. We live in a town of 3000
people.
The area comes with a lot of struggles, as you might
imagine. We have one of the lowest population areas in the mission but one of
the biggest missions in the mission. That means a lot of traveling to get to
one person, and if they aren't there or can't be with us, we can't really talk
to the neighbors, which makes things hard. Lots of money spent on bus tickets.
We have bikes but don't use them a ton because most of the traveling that we
have to do is a bit too far for bikes. We went to the closest town to Tres PorteƱas on bike and got there in like an hour. Then we biked back to the
apartment at 10pm on a highway without like any reflectors. I didn't die. It's
still a really cool area. I learn a lot and a TON of miracles happen here.
Without the miracles, life would be very painful here.
Overall, I really like this place. It's hard, but it's
definitely doable. It's nice to have a really good companion who helps out with
the adjusting phase and makes it a lot of fun. He also cooks really well, and
we have to cook a lot here.
Either way, I have a ton of pictures from last transfer, the
mission Christmas party and my new area.
Thanks for reading.
3 Nephi 8:1
"And now it came to pass that according to our record, and we know our record to be true, for behold, it was a just man who did keep the record—for he truly did manymiracles in the name of Jesus; and there was not any man who could do a miracle in the name of Jesus save he were cleansed every whit from his iniquity"
